Dr. Ir. Fadjry Djufry, M.Si. is a Senior Researcher in Crop Cultivation and Plant Production at the Center for Plantation Research and Development (Puslitbangbun). From February 2019 to January 2022, Fadjry concurrently served as the Head of the Agricultural Research and Development Agency (Balitbangtan).

On January 25, 2022, Fadjry was inaugurated as a Research Professor, ranking 630 nationally and 159 within the Ministry of Agriculture. His Research Professor oration was titled ‘Development of Innovative Climate-Smart Agriculture Based on Adaptive Cultivation Technology Towards Sustainable Modern Agriculture.'

Prior to becoming the Head of the Agency, Fadjry served as the Head of Puslitbangbun (2015-2019), Head of BPTP South Sulawesi (2012-2015); Head of BPTP Papua (2008-2012). He also served as a Program Coordinator at LPTP West Sulawesi (2008), Program Coordinator at BPTP South Kalimantan (2005-2007), Secretary of the SADP Project and Researcher at BPTP Southeast Sulawesi (1995-1997), Head of Program and Cooperation at the Horticultural Research Sub-Bureau in Jeneponto, South Sulawesi (1995-1996), and Head of Household and Equipment at the Horticultural Research Sub-Bureau in Jeneponto, South Sulawesi (1994-1995).

In addition to his structural roles within Balitbangtan, Fadjry has also been involved in academia as a Postgraduate (S2) Lecturer at Universitas Islam Makassar (2012-2015), Universitas Hasanuddin Makassar (2012-2015), and Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, Banjarmasin (2005-2007).

Fadjry Djufry was born in Makassar on March 14, 1969. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (S1) majoring in Agronomy from Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar in 1993. He pursued his Master's (S2) and Ph.D. (S3) degrees in Agroclimatology/Plant Modeling at Bogor Agricultural Institute, completing them in 2000 and 2005, respectively.

He received the Satya Lancana Karya Satya XX Year Award on August 17, 2019.
